Oracle + (Planning + Budgeting) + NetSuite = Next Level Data Control + Reporting

February 20, 2020

Despite an integrated ERP system, the planning process in a company entails far-reaching problems such as large amounts of data, paper breaks and outdated, no longer comprehensible calculations on puzzling data stocks. Often, data needing to be analyzed for different stakeholder evaluations is available in different places, but neither synchronized nor accessible at the push of a button. This is very time-consuming and not very effective. But Oracle provides the solution for these problems: the Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud (PBCS). Thanks to its multidimensional data cube, this modern suite can store large amounts of data from various sources and evaluate it in a variety of ways. With an elaborate setup, this leads to considerable time savings and an always up-to-date representation of the entire situation. In addition, this integrated application offers simple validations and multiple calculation options, including attractive and meaningful visualizations in customizable dashboards. Different scenarios can be defined and developed, allowing for a wide planning range – from sales and HR to budget. With SmartView, data can be used and processed directly from the multidimensional database in Excel. Further modules allow for individual expansion of your own planning, tailored exactly to the needs of the company. And all of this taking place in the cloud, without any hardware investment and maintenance, and with focus on the high security aspects. Based on this technology, PROMATIS applies its Best Practice solutions. In order to deliver targeted information for planning from the ERP-System NetSuite, an extension to PBCS has been developed, containing essential applications like corporate planning according to the Balanced Scorecard principle or reports like profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement according to HGB and IFRS. In addition, the integration of further data sources is already predefined, from Excel to external systems, in order to simplify the integration and ensure a constant data model. A connection back to the ERP system NetSuite is also possible. Pre-defined dashboards and sophisticated planning algorithms round off this package, which provides a stable basis to map your requirements without any individual development – even in the future.
