Now new and free for everyone in Release 2023.2: NetSuite Guided Learning!

October 02, 2023

As previously hinted at last year at NetSuite SuiteWorld 2022 in Las Vegas and in the press release of July 18, 2023, NetSuite is now rolling out NetSuite Guided Learning in Release 2023.2 – available for all instances and in 27 languages.

But what is NetSuite Guided Learning?

It is a step-by-step tutorial embedded in NetSuite to educate users about helpful system features and functions. Thus, NetSuite Guided Learning helps complete the most important tasks by providing contextual guidance directly in NetSuite.

And this is how the functionality introduces itself to the users:

Once expanded, the home screen appears as follows:

P.S.: Via drag & drop, the new widget can be moved on the dashboard without any problems, but it always docks to the sidebars.

The language can be switched by clicking in the lower left corner of the widget, and you can return to the application language by clicking on “Default Language”:

But what exactly can I do with the new functionality? I will now describe the layout as follows:

Navigation and Welcome

Start in NetSuite or with Guided Learning: The dialog helps to discover the first steps and get familiar with how it works. “Tell me about Guided Learning” leads us to this video, for example:

While “Welcome to Netsuite” directly opens an interactive dialog.

With „Begin”, you can now start.

And now, we can start:

Your NetSuite Center

In the “Get to know your role” area, you will find several overviews of suitable objects and activities. In each case, this is where dialogs or videos open:

Useful Tools

Here, more and often role-independent functionalities, such as Global Search or customizing of your individual dashboard, are explained.

Help and Support

This section provides additional resources and sources to explain uncovered functionalities, find help outside of NetSuite, or deepen your own NetSuite knowledge.

According to NetSuite, the available content will expand and adapt according to the system’s own use, in order to offer increasingly relevant content. So it should be well worth trying out and using this new tool extensively!

NetSuite provides more information online.

P.S.: If you don’t want to use the functionality right now (yet), it can easily be disabled.
